After we released Infectonator! I realized something…We (and by we, I mean…me) have an excessive obsession with zombies! The last three games that we’ve designed and made has got something to do with zombies, either killing zombies in a side-scrolling lawn mower-esque maneuver or turning people to zombies in a retro style simulator…and I don’t think that this obsession is going away anytime soon. However I’d like to try making other kinds of games that doesn’t involve zombies in any way…hopefully soon
On other things, we are going to finish makin Infectonator! : World Domination Edition soon. But before we do, I’d like to know what do you like to see implemented in this game. Please let me know by leaving a comment below!

I found this game to be very enjoyable, albeit rather short. Here are a list of suggestions that may or may not have been mentioned already, that I think could make the game better.
1.) Different difficulty levels would be nice.
2.) Maybe more variety in types of zombies and people.
3.) Definitely more levels, and more days to complete them in.
4.) As mentioned by other people, a sandbox mode without a time limit would be nice I think.
5.) Perhaps a level and/or zombie editor would be nice.

on your second idea, thats most likely you clicked on an agent
1) Giant “Objective Completed” box obscures too much of the screen, and clicking the “close” button on it makes you waste a grenade.
2) Sometimes at the start of a level, I click my infectionator on a group of people and no one (or maybe only one person) dies. Not sure what’s going on there.
3) Stay on the level screen when a level ends (instead of zipping right back to the upgrade screen) so I have a chance to look at the status stuff at the bottom of the screen and have some idea of what just happened.
Level select. It’s frustrating beating the game and having to start my stats all over again.
it is a awsome game
1)you start a level with one zombie and you control this zombie(that is diferent from “Normal” zombies), and you start to infect another humans.
2)diferents types of virus in the granedes, 1 granedes have a sort of virus that make a type of zombie and the another have another type of virus.
3)especial ability ex:the zombies run much more faster than human, zombies with weapons, realy STRONG(somehing as a tank from left 4 dead). But you can NOT have all the especial ability(only in the sandbox or in the campaing).
4)editor of zombies.
5)scenarios diferents Ex:sewers, shopping, Scholl, Military Base, Secret Base, forest or camp, laboratory, mall, bunkers, ETC.
6)A map that the humans are defending a bulding/base.
7)especial teams ANTI-Zombies come to kill you zombies after some time.
8)after a hero die he/she transform in a zombie much more strong, fast, resistent and inteligent and you control him
we have zombies with bulet proof cloths, and zombies fire proof.

9)whem special agents are infectad and if they use bulet proof cloths whats happens
10)animal and mutant zombies Ex:plants, giant bees/birds, dogs zombie, lion zombie , mutant animal unknow.
11)weaks to zombies to have evolutions points to pick the especial abilits ex:less strong in the day or die with the sun, die in the water or have less resistenc to fire.
More ways to affect how zombies/virus acts. For example you should be able to buy an ability that allows zombies to do what they did in life (eg cop zombies can remember how to use guns), buy new attacks (eg a jump/pounce attack) and upgrades like make your first zombies stronger than normal.
Hero/special zombie? Instead of infecting multiple people into normal zombies infect just one into a super zombie? I’m thinking something like l4d2’s charger.

Finaly there is a game where you play the zombie side, i really love zombies but not always too kill them its way more fun to infect people
Maybe you should put more upgrades in it or that you gain them more slowly because even with more maps you will be at maximum really fast .
I would like to see more of the game so i would like it if it would be more slowly i know ,i know ,i think this is something no one want to be changed .
Well if you build a world tour with much maps this would be awesome and no time plz 60 sec suck 60 min would be better

definatly more levels and time make it more of a campain think like: first infect easier to infect areas like afrika etc and then move on to the more hygenic and defended lands also the abilety to use more types in infection like water or food infection. but still awesome game.

Yea the 60 second limit sucks , more upgrades types would be cool and definetely much more levels , and a sandbox mode , maybe even badges on the kongregate version
in my opinion is that they place on each day 60 seconds plus an editor and more improvements such as new virus mutations and TimeOff

- I think the ability to redistribute the virus attributes between levels would be cool. Then you can have a level that would be best for super fast super infectious zombies but not particularly strong, then the next you change the stats making the zombies slow moving tanks, etc. This would introduce some strategy after a couple of play throughs.
- Tying into the previous point; I would like to be able to buy singular points then distribute them however I like rather than skill specific upgrades, then I can stack absolutely all my points on one attribute or another with no max. (but I’m sure that would introduce a whole bunch of rebalancing issues you just don’t want to deal with
- I like the idea of stronger people (agents, heros, etc) turning into stronger zombies.
- Purchasing starting zombies of different types and skill sets. (if it lives it carries over, if it dies you buy a new one)
- Purchasing more than one beginning infection blast (the same way grenades are purchased).
- If you put enough work into the game, look into porting it to the Xbox360 under the Arcade homebrew section.
It’s a great game. I lost track of how many times I’ve played it quite a while ago. Sometimes what makes something great is its limitations. Keep up the great work!

I would like it to be more detailed and maybe have more different zombies.It was a really good game but needs to be longer.You also could make a mini game out of it in which you upgrade a hero to see how long he can last.

hmm maybe a special human mode lets say they have made a cure to heal the zombies (same way used as infecting urgh bad idea but its a can do)
but if it could maybe some special units which can be used by infecting certain characters
Fun game! I would like to see different cities with multiple levels in each city, and then once you finish all cities, allow for random cities to be created.
Also for replay value, have really expensive upgrades for late-game fun!
it’d be awesome if there was an upgrade that made your zombies 2x bigger than their regular size!
it’d be cool too if there were a few boss levels too!
I really liked this game but I was upset with the lenght of the game. TO SHORT. How can I take over 13 levals if I can only go up to 11 days? What’s up with that.
A zombie editor would also be nice
And if your choices somehow affected the game.
Ex: An investor comes up and says he will sell you either a increased strength syrum, which makes your zombies bulky, but slow, or a speed energy drink, wich makes them fast, but weak. Depending on what you pick, news reaports pop up showing pictures of either bulky zombies smashing the place up, or very thin zombies jumping onto people.

sweet game! can’t wait for the longer lasting one. i get mad at the sixty seconds in this version.
Amazing game. I have a few suggestions that you may find interesting.
1.) A way to increase the time IN the game. They start with 60 seconds but if they reach certain milestones they get added time. I see you have achievements that give money and score so why not time.
2.) Heroes are harder to kill so shouldn’t their Zombie versions be different as well? Not weapon wielding but maybe one could be faster, tougher, able to spread the virus better, explode on death, or maybe something else.
3.) I suggest a little tweaking on the upgrade system because when you add increased time or no time limit it seems like it would be to easy. Possibly you could make it more difficult to get to the max.
4.) The Xmas version had the ability to make your virus go through people which was nice but I think it was way to easy to get.
5.) Grenade seemed pretty useless maybe land mines would be better. That way they could be placed in a strategic area for a bigger kill.
6.) Sandbox mode. I know many people have mentioned it but it’s a really good idea.
7.) Level designer.
8.) Scenarios. Something more than just kill a certain amount of people, maybe kill all soldiers, get the infection into s certain area of the board(that doesn’t seem to difficult but fill the area with Soldiers and it’s more difficult), or infect a specific person on the board. I just think it’d be fun to do more.
9.) Boss levels. A bunch of soldiers and a tank could be one Idea. All you’d have is a bunch of civilians to work with and they have to destroy all the soldier AND the tank.
10.) Many different types of heroes. You’ve already implemented soldiers and even Santa clause maybe you should give a thought to more such as, Doctor, Apocalypse guy(Homeless guy that screams about the end of the world), Scientist, or even a circus freak.
11.) Heroes with abilities. Yes they are tougher but maybe they could also have things about them besides being tougher. Doctors could heal people of their injuries, Scientist could heal people of the virus, Apocalypse guy could have everyone running for shelter or avoiding the Zombies better, or anything like that.
12.) Shelters. Something to help humans and make for a more difficult game. Also if you do it right you can use them to design scenarios like, Get the infection inside the shelter.
13.) Lastly, a hidden virus upgrade that allows the infected to be alive for a while before turning.

I think barricades would also be nice . . . and I also read about traffic on another comment. I think it’d be great to put in traffic on some levels but i don’t think it should be oversued . . . maybe a boss level where you have some civilians on one side and soldiers on the other with traffic in between . . . actually that may be a bad Idea . . .LOL
Okey… I had a good idea, that (if in the map have buildings) the survivors hide themselfes in homes so you have to click in ways to get in, Example: A window, door. But sometimes, they close them so you cant get in, so, you can click on a door or window wich has been closed with wood or that and zombies take like 10 secs to open it and then they get in and kill everybody

I would like to see more population of un-infected (smaller characters), more graphics (no, seriously, it’s already set to HIGH ??), an iTouch/iPhone version, different ways to spread…water, air, sneezing, etc…more than 60 seconds as well, less coins because on notebooks it runs slow, grenades are almost useless, (remove them) and same sort of gameplay.
This may be a bit of a far fetched idea. I dont think it should be used in this one but it could be an idea for a whole new game.

The survivors should be pretty overpowered and you should have LOADS of zombies. Dont put a limited amount on. Just put spawning points and stuff like that

You could do like a top down strategy Left 4 Dead style!
As in there are 4 survivors that go through a huge level maze thing and they get different weapons and such to get to a far away rescue location with safe houses along the way
And you control the zombies to try and stop them
Using ambushes and traps and explosives etc
Different kinds of zombies would be awesome
And then there could be a mode where you play the humans
And then if you spent loads of time on it you could make it multiplayer online so that one player is the survivors and one player is the zombies
Just a thought but wouldn’t that be AWESOME?!!

yo.. i have a couple of sugestions.. upgrades for specific zombies.. a level editor, more types of humans and zombies.. cont0rol over one zombie to infect, a CAMPAIGN.. a general zombie updater, and map where people are expecting the zombies… maybe you could have buildings where you create zombies? builder zombies?
and infected animals and plants too… oh and some of these ideas are from other peps

The zombies grab the humans drag them away to the zombie hide out and when the humans get word of where they are they come out of hiding everywhere causing buildings to collapse blood and guts everywhere and a system where everyone panics and people are dieing everyone is shooting them and body parts to be ripped off only to have the rest of their body torn to shreds by them…..oh a intro to the mayhem, please reply to tell me how my idea is

Some method or goal that allows time to be added to the total. 60 seconds, though fun, was often frustratingly short, especially in the event that an initial infection pattern just didn’t work out as planned and the last remaining zombie just keeps struggling to infect others, but can’t quite catch a break.
Additionally or alternatively a keystroke to kill the screen and/or game when a mis-step is taken and the timer would otherwise be running on an ultimately doomed effort.
Awesome game though. I’m disturbed by the amount of time I dedicate to it.

you have to find the country the hero is from.for example, you might find santa in a snowy place
After playing this for tons of hours ive realized that there is no way of learning where to find the zombies with out going to every country and city so there should be a walkthrough, and ive posted this on ng too, but some cities have way to high of difficulties such as the first city in russia having nothing but soldiers attacking your zombies, so a more controled ratio for that would be nice.
Also as stated in NG a widdling effect would be nice. And i think that a one shot one kill for regular zombies is a little bit hard, even after i got my dmg resistance up it was still a 1 shot 1 kill from cops, not soldiers not fbi cops little blues.
I loved the world domination edition, very excellent. I applaud your talent.
However, what i think would also be cool is if there was a map editor version too, or just something to design like what you have for each city, like placing walls and how many people and the types of people. Debris and cars, so forth.
